Joint PhD programme with Singapore A*STAR Research Institutes
About the Programme
The Faculty of Life Sciences, The University of Manchester, UK and the A*STAR Institutes, Singapore, are offering a number of prestigious international PhD studentships for outstanding applicants, commencing in September 2012.
The 4 year PhD Programme will require successful applicants to split their time between the Faculty of Life Sciences in Manchester and the relevant research institute in Singapore. It is anticipated that this will involve two year periods in both Manchester and Singapore. The final PhD degree awarded will be by The University of Manchester.
The Programme will underpin the Research Challenges in the Faculty of Life Sciences, which are:

- Biotechnology for Industry
- Sustainable Environments
