PhD Programme with A*STAR Institutes, Singapore
About the Programme
The Faculty of Life Sciences, The University of Manchester, UK and the A*STAR Institutes, Singapore, offer up to ten prestigious international PhD studentships for outstanding applicants each year. Applications for entry in September 2014 are now being invited.
The 4 year PhD Programme will require successful applicants to split their time between the Faculty of Life Sciences in Manchester and the relevant research institute in Singapore. It is anticipated that this will involve two year periods in both Manchester and Singapore. The final PhD degree awarded will be by The University of Manchester.
The Programme will underpin the Research Challenges in the Faculty of Life Sciences, which are:
- Understanding Life
- Disease Biology
- Biotechnology for Industry
- Sustainable Environments
