Education
We offer several different options for advanced training in Computational Biology:
MSc
The first Bioinformatics MSc in the UK, this programme provides students with a practical and theoretical knowledge of modern biochemistry and molecular biology, along with techniques of computer science, IT and mathematics, sufficient to prepare them with the necessary multidisciplinary training for careers in biotechnology or further research work.
Online Training/eLearning
We have produced a number of resources to facilitate bioinformatics education and training in both traditional face-to-face and self-paced settings.
BioActivity was one of the first interactive bioinformatics practicals on the Web. Recently, this has been extended as part of the
EMBER project in collaboration with a professional multimedia publisher: together, we have produced a new Web-based tutorial, with a stand-alone version on CD-ROM.
Access online training: EMBER.
