Research in the Developmental Biology research group is carried out in the Michael Smith Building (building 71), the Stopford Building (building 79) and the Manchester Interdisciplinary Biocentre (building 16). See the campus map for the location of each building.
Travel
For Manchester Interdisciplinary Biocentre
The Manchester Interdisciplinary Biocentre is located in the The John Garside Building on the Sackville Street campus and is easily accessible from the city centre. It is within a few minutes walk of the main city railway station, Manchester Piccadilly.
The John Garside Building is building number 16 on the campus map.
For Smith and Stopford Buildings
From Piccadilly Railway Station: Catch bus service 147, or walk to Piccadilly Bus Station and catch one of the following services: 14, 16, 41, 42, 43, 43a, 44, 45a, 48, 111, 140, 142, 157, 250.
From Victoria Railway Station: Either take the Metrolink tram, or walk to Piccadilly Bus Station (not the railway station) and catch one of the buses listed above.
Get off at the stop next to the Holy Name church, opposite the Students' Union building.
By taxi: The Smith building can be easily reached by taxi from both train stations (10 - 15 mins) and from the airport (20 - 25mins). The Smith building is off Dover Street.
