Royal Society Partnership Grant ¦ June 2012
Two groups of AS students from Loreto Sixth Form College in Moss Side visited the faculty. The students performed experiments to identify factors affecting chicken embryo heart development.

Thirty Yr 8 pupils from Trinity High School in Hulme came to the University for an Olympic-themed morning.

Over 15 Heads of Biology from independent schools in the Northwest visited the Faculty of Life Sciences to find out more about Developmental Biology.

Over 200 pupils aged 12-14 from local schools came down to the Faculty of Life Sciences on 5th and 6th July 2011 to find out what being a scientist is all about.

Discover Days give Year 12 pupils a chance to learn more about a specific life sciences subject area by spending a day at the University and attending lectures and practical sessions in the labs.

Specialist Schools and Academies Trust (SSAT) ¦ July 2009
The Specialist Schools and Academies Trust held their annual science conference in Manchester at the beginning of July and the Faculty of Life Sciences was able to contribute with a lunchtime practical session for biology teachers.
