National Science and Engineering Week
Postgraduate research students from the Faculty of Life Sciences visited 3 local secondary schools during National Science and Engineering week in March 2009 with hands on activities for Years 8 and 9. The students visited North Manchester High School for Girls, Hazel Grove High School and Altrincham Grammar School for Boys during the week long celebration of all things scientific. Whilst the hands on activities we hope enthused the pupils about biology, the opportunity to meet young, enthusiastic researchers was also an important part of the experience.
