Work experience
Researchers within the Faculty of Life Sciences are often asked if they are able to host work experience students. From September 2011 the Faculty will be running a structured Work Experience Scheme with specifically targeted local schools and will be unable to accommodate requests outside of this scheme.
Please do not contact researchers directly as all placements must be arranged centrally to ensure compliance with the legislative requirements.
Nuffield Bursary Scheme
The Faculty participates in the Nuffield Bursary Scheme. Students in the first year of a post-16 science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) course are eligible to apply for a bursary of £80 per week to support them during their project.
