We survey our graduates six months after they have completed their degrees with us. The results below are from 2007-2010 graduates. (For Data Protection reasons we cannot name the companies these students worked for):

Employment

Physiology graduates are well equipped for a range of careers both in and outside the Life Sciences sector.

Life Sciences roles of recent graduates included:

  • Cardiac Physiologist for the NHS
  • Medical Education Consultant for a healthcare communications company
  • Policy Intern for a national heart health charity
  • Medical Writer
  • Clinical Scientist for the NHS
  • Account Manager for a healthcare communications company
  • Product Development Technician for a biomedical supplies company
  • Trainee Gastro-Intestinal Physiologist for the NHS

Non Life Sciences roles of recent graduates included:

  • Account Manager for an IT company
  • Human Resources Manager

Further Study

Around 20% of graduates move on to postgraduate study (Masters or PhD) in the area of Life Sciences. These graduates are likely to move into a career in scientific research in the future.
